Melbourne-based developer Tin Man Games has unleashed Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106 today as part of its Gamebook Adventures lineup.
The developer announced that it had acquired the license (it's first major licensed property) at Game Connect Asia-Pacific last year, and followed it up by securing the Fighting Fantasy license (the property which inspired the Gamebook Adventures series) in May this year.
Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106 sees players step into the sizeable boots of Judge Dredd in Mega City One, and play through the interactive book on their iPhones and iPads in the first licensed Judge Dredd game to come out in years, and just as hype is beginning to build up around the upcoming 'Dredd' film.
Neil Rennison, Creative Director of Tin Man, said: "This is certainly the year for Dredd, with the movie coming out soon as well as it being 2000 AD’s 35th Anniversary. We are very excited to be part of the 2000 AD universe and believe that we have created an awesome interactive adventure.”
