Assassin's Creed IV DLC becomes standalone

Freedom Cry, the single-player DLC for Assassin's Creed IV released last month, will see a standalone release later this month, says Ubisoft.

Launching on PC, PS3 and PS4, Freedom Cry is a digital-only download and will not require players to own the original Black Flag in order to access the new single-player content.

Currently, there's no mention of potential launches on Microsoft's Xbox One or Xbox 360.

Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry will land on PS3 and PS4 first on February 19, whilst making its PC debut a week later on February 25.
