The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that for the first time, devices running Android outweigh those running iOS.
While Android devices had only 6 per cent of the market as recently as 2010, they now clock in one per cent higher than Apple, with more than 10 million devices in pockets and handbags Australia-wide.
Of course, the iPad's desirability is still remarkably high, and Android runs on a huge number of devices next to Apple's modest range, but the market is still undergoing a shift.
