The creative director of the Uncharted series has left Naughty Dog, according to a report on IGN.
Amy Hennig, who served as creative director and writer on all three PS3 Uncharted games and was working on the upcoming Uncharted 4 for PS4, finished up at the Sony-owned studio on March 3.
IGN's sources claim that "Hennig was “forced out” by The Last of Us’ Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, and explained that Uncharted may now come under their control."
Neither Hennig, Naughty Dog nor Sony have commented on the report at this stage.
Update: Sony has now issued the following statement confirming Hennig's departure.
"We can confirm that Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog. Amy has made significant contributions to the game industry and we appreciate all she has done for Naughty Dog. The development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted."
