3 Blokes is reborn as KIXEYE Australia

When 3 Blokes studios closed its doors last month, it was hinted that the studio wouldn't be gone for all that long.

That hint had purpose, it seems, as today KIXEYE, a San Francisco-based game maker specialising in online combat strategy titles, announced the creation of KIXEYE Australia, a new studio based in Brisbane which has a rather familiar crew from 3 Blokes fame setting things up.

Will Harbin, CEO at KIXEYE, said: "The talent pool in Australia is exploding, and the 3 Blokes team is evidence of that. George and his team are highly driven and passionate game developers who aren’t afraid to push the limits of creativity and innovation."

George Fidler, GM of KIXEYE Australia (and formerly of 3 Blokes), added: "We couldn’t be more excited to be joining such an innovative industry leader. Their team is first-class from top to bottom, and the new game that we’ve kicked-off together is ambitious and extremely exciting."

3 Blokes was acquired by RockYou in July last year prior to shutting down in April 2012, and was previously responsible for Facebook hit titles Galactic Trader and its successor Galactic Allies.
