10 Things You Need to Know About: Remember Me

Capcom and DONTNOD Entertainment's Remember Me is an ambitious third-person action game, which is out this week on PS3, 360 and PC:

  1. The game is set in Neo-Paris in 2084, in a world where a company called Memorise has set up a surveillance state by offering a product which allows consumers to remix and recall memories.
  2. A group of rebels, of which the player character Nilin is one, have formed to try and take down the mega-corporation.
  3. Living underground are a race of memory-overdosed sub-humans called Leapers.
  4. Gameplay includes, platforming, stealth and beat-em-up action.
  5. The game borrows from such cyberpunk settings as Aeon Flux and such literary works as George Orwell's 1984.
  6. The main character has to fight for her own identiy after her memory is wiped by Memorise.
  7. Combat is non-fatal, but involves a wide-variety of third-person moves and takedowns.
  8. There will be customiseable combos.
  9. You can steal memories from targets, rearrange them and insert them into others to confuse and bewilder enemies.
  10. The game is out on Thursday 6th June on PS3 and 360 (AUD$89.95 or NZD$109.95) and PC (AUD$69.95 or NZD$99.95).
