Five Star Games Pty Ltd, a privately owned and operated company, is a leading interactive entertainment and peripherals distributor within the Australian and New Zealand markets. Leading a small team across a portfolio of iconic gaming and peripheral brands this role is about driving growth and ensuring brand expansion through market share and innovation.

Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for setting and implementing the marketing strategy across B2C and B2B partners. This role is heavily project/campaign based with an approach of building multiple marketing campaigns, often simultaneously. The role will have a strong commercial focus with a clear set of KPI's in place. Leadership skills along with stakeholder management skills will be vital to success. Media strategy and planning will feature heavily in this role so a strong understanding of integrated media strategy is important.

You need to come from a sophisticated entertainment or consumer electronics marketing background where the development and delivery of high frequent, small, medium and large sized campaigns have been integral to your role. You need to demonstrate strong commercial awareness and budget management and excellent communication/relationship management skills.


The role will encompass but is not limited to the following tasks:

  • Build strategic marketing plans with a strong implementation background 
  • Monitor & review performance metrics & targets for the marketing team and provide post-campaign analysis to drive learnings & continual improvements
  • Able to engage and nurture relationships with multiple local and international partners and able to execute plans alongside resources internally and outsourced.
  • A broad marketing background and experience across the breadth of marketing including but not limited to print, digital, outdoor, social, PR and experiential mediums
  • Understanding of channel marketing, reseller needs and managing and optimising MDF
  • Overall management of the company website and social media platforms
  • Demonstrate leadership to inspire, coach and manage your team
  • Understand how to manage competing priorities effectively, draw on resources and organise and plan your work.



  • Relevant tertiary qualifications essential.

Knowledge/Skills required:

  • Proficient computer skills with an in-depth knowledge of MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proven track record in devising and executing strategic marketing plans designed to uplift product sales and brand awareness
  • Previous experience in team leadership, management and motivation
  • Interest in general entertainment (Video games / Film / TV / Digital Entertainment)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks/deadlines
  • Work well under pressure and time constraints

Work Experience:

  • 3 years’ minimum in a similar position.
  • Experience within the entertainment industry or consumer electronics would be highly regarded.
