A series of Pokemon tournaments are set to be held around Australia, with the winner competing at the global stage in Vancouver.

There will be junior division for those 11 years and under, as well as senior and masters divisions.

An invitation to the Pokémon Video Game World Championships, hosted by The Pokémon Company International, is the grand prize in Australia.

The main event will be at the now sold-out PAX Australia, where combatants will compete using Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, but there will be other pop-up events around the country for those not attending the expo at:

  • Brisbane - Brisbane Convention & Exhibitino Centre - Sunday 7th July
