The Christmas rush has truly begun, with FIFA 13, Dead or Alive 5, Rocksmith, Carrier Command and Sherlock Holmes all out this week.
FIFA 13 has been a huge focus from EA this year, with a cavalcade of events leading up to the launch and a year-round focus on keeping players engaged through real-world interaction. It will be available on PS3 and 360 (AUD$99.95 or NZD$119.95), Vita, 3DS and Wii (AUD$69.95 or NZD$79.95) and PC (AUD$89.95), landing in Australia on Thursday 17th and New Zealand on Friday 18th September, as well as receiving a Wii U launch later in the year.
Dead or Alive 5, the first numerical sequel in the Japanese fighting series in over seven years, will be the first cross-platform release the Triple A fighter has ever seen at launch, hitting on Thursday on PS3 and 360 for AUD$89.95 or NZD$109.95.
Rocksmith boasts an impressive ability to actually help you learn the guitar while you play, in what can truly be dubbed the first post-Hero guitar game. It's hitting PS3 and 360 on Thursday as well, retailing for AUD$99.95 or NZD$109.95.
Then there's action strategy title Carrier Command landing ashore on Thursday on 360 for AUD$69.95 or PC for AUD$49.95, or mystery adventure game The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, hitting PS3 and 360 for AUD$69.95 or PC for AUD$49.95.
